Starting today, McDonald’s Singapore is arousing children’s curiosity and stimulating their imaginations by launching a new exclusive series of 12 books as part of the Happy Meal Readers program, available in all restaurants and through McDelivery.
The Tiny Detectives is the third year of the fast food chain’s collaboration with Cressida Cowell, author of the bestselling How To Train Your Dragon series.
The Tiny Detectives take readers on the curious adventures of a fun family as they immerse themselves in books and play detective to find answers to the big, “nosy” questions they have about the world – how can trees talk to each other? What is the bottom of the ocean and why are stars twinkling?
The 2021 series includes supplemental inserts such as reading tips for parents, a story starter, and activity sheets such as Finding and Finding and Knowing the Difference to help parents keep their children involved in family storytelling or reading at home.
In addition, McDonald’s has unveiled a collaboration with the popular K-pop boy band BTS.
A unique menu “tour” will arrive in Singapore on May 27th, when customers can enjoy the band’s signature orders at participating restaurants across the island.
The BTS meal includes a nine-piece chicken McNuggets, large french fries, a large drink, and sweet chili and cajun dipping sauces inspired by popular recipes from McDonald’s South Korea.
On-site customers can order the BTS Meal in the restaurant, during a drive through or via McDelivery.
