A new pop-up shop was opened in the Lakeside Shopping Center this week, offering childcare and used children’s clothing.
KidEco is a brand new eco-initiative in partnership with The Baby Bank HQ and Kid Bank HQ, a joint organization that recycles items between families to alleviate poverty in South Essex.
Everyone is welcome, from those who have been recommended and qualified for free clothing and toys to those who want to shop more environmentally friendly.

It will be open for six weeks through early November.
Children under 5 can stay and play in the soft play area for £ 2.50 an hour or £ 2 for 30 minutes (although they must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times).
The shop accepts donations of high-quality clothing for 0-12 year olds, children’s toys and books, and other items suitable for children such as bottles, diapers and wet wipes.
Donations can be made at the Co-Ops in Gidea Park and Elm Park, at Tesco in Roneo Corner and at KidEco itself on Lakeside.
KidEco is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
